The Plaza District

Live! on the Plaza is the second Friday night of the month. It is a night where the Plaza District comes alive with artists, musicians, shoppers and hungry patrons wanting to check out one of the local restaurants. Last Friday a group of us checked out Live! on the Plaza. We quickly parked on one of the side streets off of 16th street.

On our way to 16th street we found a welder that was showing off his craft on the street outside his shop. Watching him intrigued us to go in his shop to see what other things he had made. He had incredible ornate iron bed frames and other furniture pieces. They were absolutely incredible.

After checking out his stuff, we headed down 16th to check out artists showing on the street and local shops. We wandered in and out of local galleries and stores. There were several local food trucks up and down the street.

We had a hard time deciding on which local restaurant we were going to eat at. We ended up having pizza from Empire Slice. We ordered the pizza because the wait was very long; next time we go to Live! on the Plaza we will put our name in the restaurant of our choosing right when we get there. However, ordering the pizza worked out nicely, we found a picnic bench and enjoyed our pizza. It was a perfect night for dinner outside. We enjoyed yummy garlic knots and pizza.

Live! on the plaza is a lot of fun! Go enjoy one of the Plaza District's delicious restaurants, people watch and discover local artists and shops. Enjoy!

First Friday is held, of course, every first Friday of the month in downtown Enid. You can wine and dine at various eateries, shop at the boutiques, and be entertained by a variety of entertainers. Live music, story tellers, high speed spray paint artists, bounce houses, games, and many different vendors are just a few arrays of entertainment lining the streets from about 6 p.m. until everyone starts clearing out and heading home. First Friday is fun for the whole family!
